High performance freestanding stainless steel net@MoS2 lithium-ion battery anode material

Abstract
In order to improve the electrical conductivity and stability of the MoS2 electrode material of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the nano-MoS2 is compounded with other more conductive materials. MoS2 nanoflowers were prepared in situ grown on stainless steel net (SS) via a facile hydrothermal method, developing SS@MoS2 anode material with self-supporting structure without binder. The nanoflowers structure and the enhanced conductivity of MoS2 by SS can ameliorate the diffusion rate of both Li and electrons, as well as the electrode reaction kinetics. The SS@MoS2 electrodes display excellent lithium storage performance, especially remarkable high-rate capabilities in LIBs. And the specific capacity of 862.1 mA·h/g can still be obtained after 600 cycles at a high current density of 1 000 mA/g.
