硅烷偶联剂对玻璃纤维表面性能的影响

THE EFFECT OF SILANE COUPLING AGENTS ON THE SUREFACE PROPERTIES OF GLASS FIBRES

  • 摘要: 固体的表面自由能是影响到吸收,浸润,粘附等表面性能的一个特征因子,但测定固体表面能的直接方法尚未建立。在本研究中,我们采用电子天秤法对未处理玻璃纤维及各种硅烷偶联剂处理后玻纤的表面自由能及其分量作了测定,其基础是通过测定液体L1在另一液体L2之下对固体S接触角,间接地求得固体的表面能。结果表明,玻纤的表面自由能因硅烷偶联剂的处理而降低,并与偶联剂的结构密切有关。若硅烷中带有极性基团,则处理后玻纤的表面能较高;反之若硅烷中不含有极性基,则处理后玻纤的表面能较低。用带双键硅烷处理的玻纤有中等的表面自由能。

     

    Abstract: The surface frce energy of solids is a characteristic factor which affects the surface properties such as absorption,wetting,adhesion, etc.A direct method for its measurement, however,has not yet been established.In this investigation,we developed a method for measuring the surface free energy and its components of glass fibres,which were untreated or treated with various silane coupling agents,by means of electrobalance,It was based on the measurement of the contact angle of a liquid L1 to a solid S under another Liquid L1 to obtain indirectly the surface free eusrgy of the solid.It can be seen from the result. that the surface free energy of glass fibers is decreased by being treated with s:ilane coupling agents and is. closely dependent on the structure of silanes.If the silane lxas polar function group, the surface free energy of treated glass fibers is high.If the silage has no polar group,the surface free energy is low.The fibres treated with the silane with double bond has m讨dle surface free energy.
