Abstract: Based on a method of Damage Mechanics presented by R. Talreja for study of transverse cracking in composite materials,a more reasonable method for calculation of the restricted coefficients is introduced,and used for study of transverse cracking in composite laminated plates. The variations of their elastic moduli are also predicted. Verified by the experimental results,the results of theoretical prediction are correct.
